Acupuncture: Acupuncture has been used successfully for many thousands of years in the treatment of a wide range of conditions, to restore balance on every level and generate emotional as well as physical change (according to Acupuncture New Zealand). Acupuncture is the most well-known aspect of Chinese medicine and may be used alone or in conjunction with herbal medicine, moxibustion (heating specific points using the herb Artemisia), massage, and dietary advice.

Cosmetic acupuncture: I trained in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture with Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, world-famous author and proponent of acupuncture facial renewal. Treatment lasts 90 minutes and includes body and facial acupuncture, herbal masks, natural products & essential oils, and face massage.

Treatments may also incorporate:

Cupping: To release tension, tightness and stagnation.

Chinese mineral heat therapy: Uses a source of infrared light over a mineral plate, with moxa balm applied on the skin. Excellent in particular for lower back pain, and complements well a lower back massage.

Moxibustion: Burning prepared Chinese mugwort herb over channels, points and body areas, to address pain and stagnation and restore homeostasis.

Motor point, trigger point and Dry Needling: Uses fine filiform needles inserted in the belly of the muscle, in motor points or in trigger points to release pain, tension and restore muscle function.
